2016 Cox Plate Results

The 2016 Cox Plate Results saw Chris Waller’s champion mare Winx successfully defend her title with an historic eight length victory over the Godolphin-raced Hartnell. Winx won the 2015 Cox Plate in emphatic fashion, but was even more impressive for her second success in the Australasian weight-for-age championship. Extending her winning streak to 17 on the trot, the five-year-old saluted as the odds-on favourite in Cox Plate betting. Rounding out the Cox Plate 2017 Trifecta in third was the David Vandyke-trained filly Yankee Rose.
