The highly anticipated $350, 000 Group 1 Randwick Guineas (1600m) will take centre stage this Saturday as Sydney’s esteemed Royal Randwick Racecourse hosts the next terrific meeting of the autumn carnival.
A near capacity field of 17 three-year-olds are due to face off in the 2010 Turpoint Royal Randwick Guineas including current pre-race favourite at $3.80 with [iasbet] Shoot Out.
Trained by John Wallace, the son of High Chaparral is coming off a last start second place in the Hobartville Stakes and has drawn well with barrier five. Shoot Out will be looking to recreate the sensational winning form that saw the gelding claim victory in the Royal Sovereign Stakes two starts back.
Some of Shoot Out’s biggest challenges are likely to come from the Peter Moody-trained Encosta De Lago gelding Hanks in barrier seven, Sir Hallowell in barrier 3, and Hobartville Stakes winner and third placegetter Monton and Captain Sonador starting in barriers 16 and six respectively.
