The countdown is on until Randwick Race 7 on Saturday when the eighth instalment of the now world-famous Group 1 $20 million The Everest race takes place, and below we have our insider 2024 The Everest betting tips.

Due to jump at 4:15pm (AEDT) this year’s The Everest (1200m) is set to be one of the most competitive yet with a gun field of 12-star sprinters ready to go.
It is an even affair with a host of form lines to consider and the markets at Ladbrokes.com.au have Chris Waller‘s versatile and still untapped mare Joliestar on top at $6 at time of publish.
So, will Waller get the top prize for a third time or is there an upset pending?
See below to see what The Everest contenders we’ll be backing to take out the world’s richest turf race this weekend!
To Win: #10 Traffic Warden ($7 at time of publish) – BET NOW

Trainer James Cummings is confident, and we are too, with this lovely Street Boss colt who can cement his name in The Everest history books as the third three-year-old to climb to the top of the world’s richest turf race.
Drew a treat in gate two which only saw Cummings sing him further praises.
Well-conditioned with plenty of tough 1400m runs including a Group 1 Golden Rose second last time out when narrowly denied by stablemate Broadsiding.
Back to 1200m will suit and he won the Group 2 Run to the Rose in a blistering late burst fresh.
He’s third-up now and has been set specifically for this race. Can win.
The Danger: #1 I Wish I Win ($6.50 at time of publish) – BET NOW

Peter Moody & Katherine Coleman’s six-year-old son of Savabeel will don the No. 1 saddlecloth in The Everest field and it would surprise us little if he ended up with the No. 1 spot in the official finishing order.
Third-up and ready to fire with a lovely record at the track and distance, plus the devastatingly close 2nd in 2023 that he will be keen to atone for.
He will relish the sting out of the track getting conditions to suit perfectly.
Going as good as ever, he’s a class horse and a three-time Group 1 champion.
Gets the right gate with room from nine this year for Luke Nolen after barrier one saw him narrowly come undone behind Think About It 12 months ago.
He does face a field full of gun youngsters that have been set for this but he’s the seasoned professional with plenty to prove.
Each Way: #4 Bella Nipotina ($9 at time of publish) – BET NOW

The mares might not have finished better than fourth in an Everest to date, but it is a rock-solid contingent of female gallopers taking on the boys this year including Ciaron Maher’s bonny seven-year-old Bella Nipotina who continues to show a zest for racing (and winning!).
This daughter of Pride Of Dubai is a multiple Group 1 winner coming via back-to-back placings in the Group 3 Concorde and Group 2 Premiere Stakes.
She probably should have won the Group 2 last time out and gets her chance to make it up to her fans now on the big stage.
She’s tough and she’s talented, and any rain around between now and The Everest jump will only boost her chances.
The only con is that outside barrier 12 which does make it a little harder.
Best Roughie: #5 I Am Me ($17 at time of publish) – BET NOW

Bella’s stablemate and one of three in The Everest field for Maher, this rails-drawn mare is chasing a hat-trick.
The consistent I Am Invincible six-year-old is fit and firing on all cylinders ready to get the job done again flying under the radar in the markets despite her outstanding performances this prep.
She is a genuine Randwick specialist with four wins form five starts at the track.
Comes off the Concorde – The Shorts winning double with the latter especially a good guide historically to The Everest results.
She won’t get a better chance than this.
Has winning form over some of the better ed and ready for the 1200m now.
Only concern would be if the track is wet.
