Sydney is forecast for light, scattered showers across the afternoon but without any serious chance of notable rainfall the current Good (4) Rosehill track rating looks set to stay across the card.
The Tancred Stakes Day card features the last of the Group 1 races at Rosehill this Sydney Autumn Racing Carnival before the action moves to Royal Randwick for ‘The Championships’.
Racing at Rosehill kicks off at 12:30pm (AEDT) and continues through until Race 9 closes the card at 5:30pm (AEDT).
Two elite level races headline the action with the Group 1 $1.5 million Tancred Stakes (2400m) – formerly The BMW – due to run as Race 6 and the field is down to nine runners after the early scratching of #7 Libran (6).
Next-up the three-year-old staying fillies do battle in the Group 1 $500,000 Vinery Stud Stakes (2000m) and the field for Rosehill Race 7 has 13 remaining runners after #4 Luvaluva (13) was withdrawn due to an elevated white blood count earlier in the week.
Other highlights on the program include the 2018 Tulloch Stakes (Race 5) for the ATC Derby hopefuls along with a final chance for horses to make next weekend’s Doncaster Mile field via the Group 3 Doncaster Prelude (Race 8).
