Orchestral is odds-on in Australian Oaks 2024 betting for Saturday as the star Kiwi filly looks to back-up from her successful down under debut and extend her winning streak to six straight.

The classy Roger James & Robert Wellwood-trained Savabeel filly beat home the boys back across the Tasman on March 2 by nearly four lengths in the Group 1 NZ Derby (2400m) before her trip to Australia.
On March 30 she raced on Aussie shores for the first time at Rosehill and saluted as the short favourite in the Group 1 Vinery Stud Stakes (2000m).
It was a good win back in distance and she is now fit and ready to fire again back out over a trip in the Group 1 $1 million Australian Oaks (2400m) at Randwick on The Championships Day 2.
Ace jockey James McDonald retains the ride from barrier three in a small 10-filly Australian Oaks 2024 field, and the markets reflect the stellar form of both horse and hoop.
Orchestral sits top of the Australian Oaks odds at $1.80 out to do the Vinery – ATC Oaks double for the first time since Hungry Heart (2021).
The danger occupying the second line of ATC Oaks betting at $3.50 is another filly proven over the mile and a half distance, the James Cummings-trained Zardozi.
Donning the iconic Godolphin Royal Blue at Flemington in the spring she won the Group 1 VRC Oaks (2400m), and she now chases the interstate Oaks double.
Tom Marquand rides the Kingman filly fourth-up from gate nine this weekend with Zardozi looking to turn the tables after her close third only 1.35 lengths beaten in the Vinery Stud.
That followed on from her Group 2 Phar Lap Stakes (1500m) win in mid-March, and she is every hope here to finish closer to the New Zealander.
The other best out of the traditional Australian Oaks lead-up, the Vinery, is runner-up Tutta La Vita.
The Chris Waller-trained daughter of The Autumn Sun is beautifully bred but is yet to win over further than 1400m.
She has finished third twice from her four Randwick assignments, including fresh when under two lengths off the winner in the Group 1 Surround Stakes (1400m).
Tutta La Vita currently pays $8 to win the Oaks and hand Waller his fifth victory in the event following his previous successes with Royal Descent (2013), Unforgotten (2018), Verry Elleegant (2019), and the aforementioned Hungry Heart (2021).
The other single-figure fancy in the markets at $7 is the in-form Autumn Angel coming via a different lead-up.
The Peter Moody & Katherine Coleman-trained chestnut, also by The Autumn Sun, is on the quick back-up after her brave second here last weekend carrying 61kg on a Heavy (9) in the Group 3 Adrian Knox Stakes (2000m).
She was a Flemington winner the start prior in the Group 2 Kewney Stakes (1600m), drops back notably to 56kg, and from gate eight with Mark Zahra aboard ticks a few boxes.
Another New Zealand visitor in the mix that looks the value at $15 is the Mark Walker-trained Quintessa.
She jumps from gate two with Opie Bosson aboard and is unwanted in the markets despite her consistent career record (9-4:3:0).
The Shamus Award filly is a Group 1 winner back home over 1600m and has had two lead-up runs in Melbourne when fourth in the Group 1 Australian Guineas (1600m) and second by a nostril flare in Moonee Valley’s Group 2 Alister Clark Stakes (2040m).
