Punters are in for a treat with four Group races taking place in Sydney today for Chelmsford Stakes Day 2020 and below we have a look at the latest Randwick track report and scratchings ahead of the first.

The weather in Sydney is for a mostly fine day and with slight showers forecast in the afternoon, the current Soft (5) Randwick track rating looks set to stay across the afternoon.
Randwick racing gets underway at 12:15pm (AEST) and the nine-race Chelmsford Stakes Day card continues through until the last at 5:10pm (AEST).
There’s early excitement on the program with Race 4 – the Group 3 $160,000 Concorde Stakes (1000m) serving as an early preview of the $15 million The Everest next month.
The Everest 2020 favourite, Chris Waller’s multiple Group 1 winner Nature Strip ($1.40 @ Ladbrokes.com.au, is odds-on in Concorde Stakes betting with fellow Everest-confirmed Gytrash ($3.90) the “danger”.
The Flight Stakes-bound fillies do battle in the Group 2 Furious Stakes (1200m) running as Race 6 and Chris Waller’s returning Hungry Heart ($2.90 @ Ladbrokes.com.au) is tipped as the one to beat despite the field featuring the Silver Shadow Stakes trifecta from a fortnight ago.
The meeting’s marquee race is the Group 2 Chelmsford Stakes over the mile running as Race 7 with a 3:50pm jump-time, Cutadeel (4) the only withdrawal from the George Main Stakes lead-up where Avilius ($4.80 @ Ladbrokes.com.au) and Mister Sea Wolf ($5) are engaged in a betting battle.
The action continues after the feature with the penultimate race, the Group 2 Tramway Stakes (1400m) where last year’s champion Dreamforce ($4.40 @ Ladbrokes.com.au) is tipped for a successful title defence.
