Caulfield racing kicks off at 11:45am (AEST) and a bumper 10-race card, extended with the addition of one of the rescheduled events from last Saturday’s abandoned Moonee Valley meeting, continues through until the mares face off in the Group 3 $160,000 Cockram Stakes (1200m).
Multiple Group winner Rubisaki ($2.50 @ Ladbrokes.com.au) is favourite in the 2020 Cockram Stakes field to extend her consecutive wins to seven first-up, with #15 Felicia (1) scratched from the last.
Earlier the opening Group race of the meeting runs as Race 6 at 2:50pm (AEST) with the sprinters doing battle in the Group 3 $160,000 The Heath 1100 Stakes (1100m) where the in-form Lindsey Smith-trained #3 Great Again (12) is the notable withdrawal.
It is a cracking field gathered for the Group 3 $160,000 H.D.F. McNeil Stakes (1200m) with Blue Diamond winner Tagaloa ($3.60 @ Ladbrokes.com.au) returning in Race 7.
Punters get an early look at some of the key Caulfield Cup hopefuls in the Listed $140,000 Heatherlie Stakes (1700m) where Sircconi ($3.30 @ Ladbrokes.com.au) is the one to beat, before the meeting’s marquee race runs as Race 9.
The Group 1 $750,000 Memsie Stakes (1400m) field is down to 14 after Cox Plate hopeful #12 Arcadia Queen (13) was scratched just before the deadline due to a stone bruise.
The updated Memsie Stakes odds online at Ladbrokes.com.au are firming on the likes of the Adelaide-trained favourite Behemoth ($3.90), PB Lawrence Stakes winner Savatiano ($4.60) and Group 1 winner Mystic Journey ($8).
