Punters will be making the most of the Tancred Stakes Day 2020 action at Rosehill Gardens today, Saturday March 28, as the COVID-19 pandemic intensifies and below are the latest scratchings and track report for what could potentially be the final major meeting of the autumn.

The weather in Sydney is currently fine with scattered showers, but without any chance of serious rainfall until the evening the current Soft (7) Rosehill track rating looks set to stay across the afternoon.
Rosehill racing kicks off at 12:30pm (AEDT) and the bumper nine-race card continues through until the Doncaster Mile hopes face off in the Prelude at 5:50pm (AEDT).
There are a host of important ‘The Championships’ lead-ups taking place should racing continue past the weekend including the ATC Derby hopes facing off in Race 3 – the Group 2 Tulloch Stakes field led by Quick Thinker ($2.45 @ Ladbrokes.com.au).
The meeting’s marquee race is the Group 1 Tancred Stakes (2400m) and all nine original acceptors remain in play including the firming $2 favourite at Ladbrokes.com.au, Verry Elleegant who won a Group 1 on this day 12 months ago.
With the Tancred Stakes 2020 taking place quite early in the afternoon, there’s plenty to stay tuned for after the feature including the three-year-old Oaks-bound fillies doing battle next-up in the Group 1 Vinery Stud Stakes (2000m).
There are no current scratchings from the 13-starter Vinery Stud Stakes field and dominating the markets are another Waller-trainer runner, Phar Lap Stakes winning filly Funstar ($1.80 @ Ladbrokes.com.au).
