Shinn faced the Racing NSW appeals board for a suspension that would originally have seen him unable to ride until December 22.
That would have meant he missed Thursday week’s December 21 Wyong meeting where the untapped Bondi has his next start.
He was given a reduction to his suspension however and is now free to ride again from Monday, with his next official book of rides taking place next Wednesday at Canterbury’s midweek meeting.
Snitzel colt Bondi has to date had just the one run when second behind Performer in Randwick’s Listed Breeders’ Plate (1000m) on September 30.
A subsequent trial at Wyong over 845m on December 4 has the up-and-coming two-year-old ready for a second start in the $200,000 Wyong Magic Millions 2YO Classic (1100m) and Shinn will now be in the saddle again.
Shinn was previously successful on the also Team Snowden-trained and Newgate-owned Capitalist when the Written Tycoon colt won the Magic Millions Classic double in Wyong and the Gold Coast in 2015-16.
The now-retired Capitalist also won the 2016 Golden Slipper Stakes with Shinn in the saddle.
The major summer racing target for Bondi this season is also likely to be the Restricted Listed $2 million Magic Millions 2YO Classic (1200m) at the Gold Coast in Queensland on January 13.
Earlier in the month co-trainer Paul Snowden was yet to confirm whether or not Bondi would be part of the stable’s Magic Millions Classic contingent heading to the sunshine state.
