Group 1 racing returns to Caulfield in Melbourne this afternoon and nine talent-rich races are set to be run and won, highlighted by the time-honoured Memsie Stakes (1400m).

Impressive fields have been taken for all nine races on Memsie Stakes Day and the action is set to get underway with the running of the Sheen Group Plate (1400m) at 12:25pm.
Races two and three have attracted open fields from a betting perspective, while the first black type race on Memsie Stakes Day will be contested when ten three-year-olds step out in Race 4; the Group 3 McNeil Stakes (1200m).
The Group 3 Ladbrokes Cockram Stakes (1200m) boasts a typically smart field of mares including Fuhryk, Savanna Amour and Miss Cover Girl, while the likes of Saracino, Voodoo Lad and Sheidel headline an impressive Group 3 The Heath (1100m) field.
The Memsie Stakes is slated to run at 4:10pm and is undoubtedly the most highly-anticipated race at Caulfield today, with horses like Vega Magic, Le Romain and defending champion Black Heart Bart all primed for big performances.
The Listed Heatherlie Stakes (1700m) will see fifteen stayers seek black type success, while Memsie Stakes Day will officially draw to a close with the running of the Comcater Handicap (1400m) at 5:35pm.
