The Peter and Paul Snowden trained Pariah was sent out as the $2.10 favourite but that didn’t stop jockey Blake Shinn from easing the colt back to second last after jumping from the outside gate in the nine horse field.

Shinn started to edge closer coming to the home turn and soon after heads were turned for home he weaved a age through the field to find himself in the clear.

Once he saw daylight, Pariah sprinted quickly and was able to score a one length win over Chauffeur ($10) without be put under too much pressure.

The Gerald Ryan trained Chauffeur will also head to the Group 1 $1m De Bortoli Wines Golden Rose (1400m) at Rosehill on September 23 after making up many lengths from last on the corner.

The James Cummings trained Jorda ($8.50) didn’t shirk her task and fought all the way to the line to fill third spot.

“We had the horse to manoeuvre do those things,” co-trainer Paul Snowden said.

“You look at him and he is just a picture of health and he still has a lot of improvement left to come.”

“He was soft on the line and Blake looked after him. He rode him extremely well and it is very pleasing for a horse like him to come back the way he did.”

“Thee Run To The Rose and then obviously the Golden Rose.”

“After he has that 1400m run we will determine what happens, if we do press on to a mile or The Everest or freshen up for the Coolmore.”

“That (the Golden Rose) is his main target and if we can tick that box we can really think about what his future holds.”

“It is a great sign to see him come back the way he did and to get the job done is even better.”

Pariah has now ed Menari as the t $6.50 favourite for the Golden Rose at Ladbrokes.com.au.
