The opening Tea Rose Stakes 2016 odds on the final field of three-year-old fillies this Sydney Spring Racing Carnival are led by Chris Waller’s last start Furious Stakes winner Foxplay.

Due to jump as Royal Randwick Race 4 at 2:00pm (AEST) on Saturday afternoon as part of the George Main Stakes Day card, this year’s $175,000 Group 2 Tea Rose Stakes (1400m) features 11 acceptors.
The latest leg of the Princess Series, which culminates on October 1 with the $500,000 Group 1 Flight Stakes (1600m) over the Randwick mile, the Tea Rose Stakes betting markets at Ladbrokes.com.au are led by Foxwedge filly Foxplay.
She won the Group 2 Furious Stakes (1200m) first-up at the track by nearly two lengths, and now pays $2.90 to win again with Hugh Bowman retaining the ride from barrier four.
Waller has also accepted for his two other Tea Rose Stakes entries Sezanne ($8) and Awoke ($11) drawn in barriers eight and six respectively.
Craig Williams replaces Bowman in the saddle of progressive More Than Ready filly Sezanne who is up in class after winning back-to-back Canterbury races in August.
Awoke has Brenton Avdulla retaining the ride after she ran 11th first-up, failing to handle the Heavy (8) Randwick track when beaten 14 lengths in a disappointing Furious Stakes run she is out to atone for on Saturday.
Second favourite in the current Tea Rose Stakes markets at $4.60 is the Furious Stakes third-placed Global Glamour.
Drawn in gate three with Tommy Berry aboard on Saturday, the Gai Waterhouse & Adrian Bott-trained daughter of Star Witness was beaten 3.6 lengths first-up and is tipped to improve with the run now under her belt this time in.
Also at single-figures for the win are the rails-drawn Bacarella ($7) who will be working to stay out of trouble from the inside alley at Randwick and Skylight Glow ($8.50) out wider in gate nine.
Gary Moore prepares Beneteau filly Bacarella who comes off back-to-back seconds at Randwick firstly to Omei Sword in the Group 2 Silver Shadow Stakes (1200m) and then Foxplay in the Furious Stakes.
Skylight Glow is also Group placed last time out, the James Cummings-trained daughter of Northern Meteor having been beaten under a length by Swear in the Group 3 Ming Dynasty Quality (1400m) on September 3.
A winner over 1400m at Randwick in late May, Skylight Glow carried 58kg first-up and drops to 56kg at set weights on the weekend back against a field of her own kind.
Other notable hopes include the John O’Shea-trained Sepoy filly Chipanda ($15) in the outside alley and Group 1 performed Quick Feet ($17) for Peter & Paul Snowden who ran third in the Silver Shadow before her Furious Stakes sixth second-up.
