Twelve runners have been confirmed in the final field for Saturday’s 2016 Bletchingly Stakes (1200m) at Caulfield Racecourse; offering punters exceptional value from a betting standpoint and several key opportunities to place a winning wager.

Mahuta has not been seen at the races since failing to fire in the Group 1 Australian Guineas in early March, but has continued to firm in favouritism in 2016 Bletchingly Stakes betting markets at Ladbrokes.com.au; currently available at a $3.10 quote.
Mahuta stormed onto the Australian racing scene during the 2015 edition of the Spring Carnival, and claimed his first stakes win in only his fourth competitive start when delivering a classy field defeat in the Listed Gothic Stakes (1400m) at Caulfield on October 17th.
Repeating the dose in the Group 3 Carbine Club Stakes (1600m) a fortnight later, the Flying Spur gelding posted a particularly commanding win in the Group 2 Sandown Guineas (1600m) on November 14th before returning to the paddock for a brief freshen-up.
Reappearing on January 9th for success in the Gold Coast Magic Millions 3.y.o Guineas (1400m), Mahuta continued his undefeated run through the Group 2 Autumn Stakes (1400m) but had clearly had enough by the time he lined up for the Australian Guineas.
Mahuta has been confirmed to be partnered by regular hoop Brad Rawiller and should find a good spot in transit from barrier 8.
Fast ‘N’ Rocking was unable to make anything of his favouritism when sixth in the Group 3 Sir John Monash Stakes (1100m) a fortnight ago, but interestingly figures as sole occupant of the second line at Bletchingly Stakes odds of $3.80.
Placed at Group 1 level several times throughout his forty start career, Fast ‘N’ Rocking clearly required a run when resuming this year for tenth in the Group 1 Oakleigh Plate (1100m) but responded with a smart performance for fourth in the Group 1 William Reid Stakes (1200m).
Luckless when eighth in the Group 1 TJ Smith Stakes (1200m) on Day 1 of The Championships, the Fastnet Rock gelding placed third in the Group 3 Hall Mark Stakes (1200m) and fourth in the Group 1 The Goodwood (1200m) leading into his last start sixth.
Premiership contender Dwayne Dunn retains the ride on Fast ‘N’ Rocking, who may require luck in running early from barrier 11.
Trainer Phillip Stokes revealed Runway Star may retire into a career as a broodmare after her run this weekend, and the talented mare remains outright third favourite for success at generous $7.50 Bletchingly Stakes odds.
Runway Star began her career under the guidance of the recently-retired Peter Moody, and ended her tenure under the Victorian trainer’s care with success in the Listed Matrice Stakes (1200m) on March 14th,
Debuting for Stokes third in the Group 3 RN Irwin Stakes (1100m) on April 23rd, the Northern Meteor mare placed sixth in the Group 1 Robert Sangster Stakes (1200m) a fortnight later, before returning to winning form in the Group 3 Proud Miss Stakes (1200m) on May 21st.
Lord Of The Sky ($8.50) interestingly figures as the only other runner currently available at Bletchingly Stakes odds of less-than $10, while reigning champion Smokin’ Joey ($17) and The Cleaner ($11) both represent terrific value.
