Voodoo Lad has found blistering form this time in and subsequently remains sole occupant of the top line of All Victorian Sprint Series Final betting with Ladbrokes.com.au at a quote of $2.30, ahead of Ruettiger ($5) Alberto Magic ($7.50).
Will Voodoo Lad continue his strong run of form through the All Victorian Sprint Series Final, or will one of his talented rivals post a big upset?
1st
Reldas ($11)
Reldas is undoubtedly one of the class horses of the All Victorian Sprint Series Final field, and is simply over the odds at his current quote of $11 for success. Posting an impressive career total of seven wins and as many minors through twenty-five career starts, the Testa Rossa gelding was a standout through summer and the recent Autumn Carnival; highlighted by a close second in the Listed Christmas Stakes (1200m), fifth in the Group 1 Oakleigh Plate (1100m) and win in the Listed Abell Stakes (1200m). A luckless performance last time out for fourteenth in the Midwest Bellarine Handicap (1100m) is likely to blame for the five-year-old’s inflated odds, and he is a far better chance of success than the quote suggests.
2nd
Voodoo Lad ($2.50)
Voodoo Lad’s form is simply too strong to look past, and the four-year-old could very well receive the run of the race from barrier 6 in the All Victorian Sprint Series Final; particularly with only 55kgs in tow. Yet to finish outside the first three through eleven career starts, the I Am Invincible gelding resumed this time for a strong win in The Standard BM78 (1100m) on May 5th; progressing to second in the A Sheppard Constructions Handicap (1250m) before returning to winning form with a standout performance in the Di Office Design Handicap (1200m) last time out on June 18th.
3rd
Rich Jack ($8)
Rich Jack has interestingly drifted in 2016 All Victorian Sprint Series Final betting markets, but will leave from the ideal barrier 3 with veteran hoop Darren Gauci in the saddle, with only 54kgs in tow. A proven performer at the track and distance, Rich Jack ran fifth in the Phillip Schuler BM84 (1200m) first-up on April 25th; progressing to second in the Brett And Mark Wilson BM90 (1100m) on May 14th before placing sixth in the Midwest Bellarine Handicap last time out.
