A talented and capacity field of runners has been confirmed for Saturday’s featured 2016 Group 1 Queensland Oaks (2400m) at Eagle Farm Racecourse; offering punters exceptional value from a betting standpoint and several key opportunities to place a winning wager.

Falkenberg has continued to receive steady in Queensland Oaks betting markets at Ladbrokes.com.au this week and remains outright $6.50 favourite, ahead of Imposing Lass ($7), Romantic Maid and Dawnie Perfect.
Will Falkenberg justify favouritism and win the 2016 Queensland Oaks, or will one of her many talented rivals post an upset?
1st
Chabaud ($13)
A proven performer at the class and distance, Chabaud carries winning form into the Queensland Oaks and represents incredible value for money at $13 odds for success on Saturday. Charging home to win the Listed Tasmanian Oaks (2100m) on February 21st, the Lookin At Lucky filly was luckless late when blocked for a run and sixth in the Noel Rundle Handicap (2000m) on March 26th, but responded with a strong performance for fifth in the Group 1 Australian Oaks (2400m). Progressing to fourth in the talent-rich Mother’s Day BM84 (2000m) on May 7th, Chabaud savaged the line for a near-two length win in the Group 3 SA Fillies Classic (2500m) a fortnight ago and is primed for another big performance in the Queensland Oaks.
2nd
Imposing Lass ($7)
The Bjorn Baker stable is flying at present, and they will be offered a good chance to secure a second Group 1 title in as many weeks via Imposing Lass in the Queensland Oaks. Resuming this time for success in the Ranvet BM67 (1400m), the Makfi filly repeated the dose in the Schweppes BM78 (1500m) before making a perfect transition to black type company with another strong win in the Listed Gold Coast Bracelet (1800m). Having run on for third in the Group 2 The Roses (2000m) a fortnight ago, Imposing Lass should find a good position in transit from barrier 10 and will be partnered by in-form hoop Jason Collett.
3rd
Sebring Sally ($17)
There are plenty of reasons Sebring Sally can win the 2016 Queensland Oaks, but the filly will have to overcome a particularly wide draw at Eagle Farm on Saturday. Winning the Listed Les Lees Strutt Stakes (2100m) on February 8th, the daughter of Sebring failed to fire in the Tasmanian Oaks, but returned to the mainland for a credible fourth in a Canterbury minor over 1550m on April 27th. Completely luckless when tenth in the Gold Coast Bracelet, Sebring Sally attacked the line for second in The Roses a fortnight ago, will be partnered by Hugh Bowman on Saturday and is saddled with leading trainer Chris Waller.
