Trainer Lee Freedman is pleased with the condition of Singaporean import Super One, and has revealed the three-year-old will be set for an appearance on the 2016 The Goodwood (1200m) at Morphettville on Saturday week.

Super One failed to make much of an impact through a brief spring campaign upon arriving in Australia; running second in the Apache Cat Classic (1000m) before beating only one runner home in the Group 1 Coolmore Stud Stakes (1200m).
Having returned to racing on May 7th for a particularly impressive win in the Group 3 DC McKay Stakes (1100m), Freedman told Racing Ahead the I Am Invincible colt has found the form his displayed in Singapore leading into his move and should lay a great for himself in The Goodwood 2016.
“That’s the true horse. It’s very hard to judge them off Singapore form – he was running good times but the horses he was beating were hardly household names,” Freedman said.
“Coming off a bit of a layoff and quarantine where he couldn’t work, it made it very difficult and he ran great in the Apache Cat.
“One would assume he would have gone forward from that, but he had a couple of niggling issues and have to have a little operation on his throat.
“He showed he was a very smart three-year-old.
“It wasn’t totally on my agenda (The Goodwood), but I was talking to his owners this morning and we feel now it’s probably worthwhile, if he does really well, to have a crack at it.
“He’s now won at the track, will go into it first up and is a fresh horse on the scene and he definitely took improvement from the McKay on Saturday.
“There’s every chance we’ll accept and head towards it.”
Super One began his racing career under the guidance of Michael Freedman, and immediately stamped himself as a colt to follow upon debuting in 2015 for four-consecutive wins, highlighted by each comfortable triumphs in each of the Group 2 Golden Horseshoe (1200m) and Group 3 Juvenile Championships (1200m).
