Perfect Reflection Ready for The Vanity

Perfect Reflection is yet to taste anything but success through her short but impressive racing career so far and trainer Darren Weir has revealed he is thrilled with the filly’s condition ahead of her east coast debut in Saturday’s Group 3 The Vanity (1400m) at Flemington.

Perfect Reflection began her racing career under the guidance of leading Perth trainer Grant Williams, and capped her maiden preparation in spring and summer with an impressive win over talented company in the Group 1 Kingston Town Classic (1800m) at Ascot on December 5th.

Weir has been thrilled with the form and class displayed by the daughter of More Than Ready since her arrival at his Wangoom stables and is confident she will lay a great for herself in the 2016 The Vanity.

“She came to my place in fantastic order and I’ve just kept her ticking along,” Weir told Racing Ahead.

“She’s a very good track worker and when you look at her form you’d probably expect her to run like that, and she has great form in Perth.

“She had a good solid trial and hit the line really well. I think she’s in the right sort of order and just needs a run before heading to the Guineas.

“I’d love to think she could win but it’s not that easy. She’s obviously a good horse, the barrier draw is perhaps a little bit tricky because she’s a ‘get back’ horse.

“I don’t think she’s a sprint horse but I’m happy with the way she’s going and where we’re heading.”

Perfect Reflection debuted to racing for success in the Tabtouch Maiden (1200m) at Pinjarra on September 2nd before delivering a handy field defeat in the Westspeed 3.y.o Plate (1200m) on October 7th.

Making a successful transition to black type company when charging home to win the Listed Belgravia Stakes (1200m) by close to two length on October 21st, the filly out of Reflected Image repeated the dose in the Group 3 WA Championship Stakes (1600m) in what was her only other start prior to her Kingston Town Classic triumph.

Ladbrokes.com.au is currently offering Perfect Reflection at 2016 The Vanity odds of $2.30 for success.
