Brazen Beau booked a ticket to Ascot with success over the world’s highest rated sprinters during the Autumn Carnival and remains outright $3.80 favourite in 2015 Diamond Jubilee Stakes betting markets at Ladbrokes.com.au ahead of Mustajeeb ($6) and Due Diligence ($7.50).
Will Brazen Beau salute for Chris Waller, connections and Australia in the 2015 Diamond Jubilee Stakes or will one of his talented rivals find the line in the clear?
1st
Brazen Beau ($3.80)
Brazen Beau is a two-time Group 1 winner over the distance, has taken well to his time abroad and will be very hard to beat in the 2015 Diamond Jubilee Stakes tonight. Capping a standout spring preparation with success in the Group 1 Coolmore Stud Stakes (1200m), the I Am Invincible colt returned this year for second in the Group 1 Black Caviar Lightning Stakes (1000m) before returning to the winner’s circle in the major Group 1 Newmarket Handicap (1200m). Confirmed to be partnered by Aussie hoop Craig Williams, Brazen Beau is more than up to the Diamond Jubilee Stakes class and should lay a great for himself.
2nd
Mustajeeb ($6)
A sprinting star for renowned trainer Dermot Weld, Mustajeeb is yet to post a win at the highest level through nine career starts but is in the right for to deliver on generous $6 odds in the 2015 Diamond Jubilee Stakes. Posting a career total of four wins and three minors, Mustajeeb jogged home to win the Group 2 Greenlands Stakes (1207m) in Ireland first-up on May 23rd and is positioned well in barrier 4, with regular hoop Pat Smullen aboard.
3rd
Wandjina ($11)
Second Australian entrant Wandjina is arguably not at his best distance in the 2015 Diamond Jubilee Stakes but has both the form and class to figure right in the finish. Returning to racing in career-best form this year, the Snitzel colt won the Group 3 CS Hayes Stakes (1400m) first-up before posting a maiden win at the highest level in the Group 1 Australian Guineas (1600m). Progressing to a close second behind five-time Group 1 champion Dissident in the Group 1 All Aged Stakes (1400m) most recently on April 18th, Wandjina will be partnered by regular and champion jockey Damien Oliver and is more than worth consideration for a 2015 Diamond Jubilee Stakes bet at current odds.
