Sydney is packed full of top-class racing today with an incredible five Group 1 races running at Rosehill Gardens Racecourse. The nine race, entire black-type meeting is highlighted by the $3.5 million Golden Slipper (1200m), which will see 16 promising two-year-olds battle it out in the richest juvenile race in the world.

It’ll be a cool day at Rosehill with a chance of rain in the morning and temperatures to peak at just 21 degrees. There will be 55 percent humidity with winds of 21 km/h while the sky will be partly cloudy in the afternoon.

Today’s racing at Rosehill kicks off with the Group 3 Birthday Card Stakes running over 1200 metres at 12:40pm and concludes with the Group 3 NE Manion Cup running over 2400 metres at 5:50pm.
Nestled between those two races are five Group 1 races, including the Golden Slipper at 4:30pm. Following the scratching of Clarry Conners’ Look To The Stars, the Gai Waterhouse-trained Vancouver will occupy barrier 16 – the outside gate. However the colt remains the $3 favourite in the betting at Ladbrokes.com.au due to his impressive three and a quarter length victory in the Group 2 Todman Stakes (1200m) on March 7.
The only other 2015 Golden Slipper single figure hopeful is John O’Shea’s Exosphere, who’s price has firmed from $4.60 into $4. The colt was last seen winning the Group 2 Skyline Stakes (1200m) by four lengths on February 28 and will be ridden by defending champion jockey James McDonald.
Other feature races throughout the day include the $1 million Group 1 The Galaxy (1100m), where Deep Field has seen a massive drift from $3.80 out to $7.
