Rosehill Guineas Day Betting – 2011 Keith F Nolan Classic Tips

One of the six Group status races taking place at Rosehill Gardens this Saturday is the $150,000 Group 3 Keith F Nolan Classic (1800m) and here we have the top tips for the fillies feature running as Rosehill Race 3 at 1:30pm (AEDST).

Brazilian Pulse

Brazilian Pulse is the odds-on favourite to win the Keith F Nolan Classic on Saturday

The 2011 Illawarra Mercury Keith F Nolan Classic field features 14 three-year-old fillies lead by overwhelming favourite #1 Brazilian Pulse currently paying $1.80 to win through Luxbet.

Winner of the Group 1 Crown Oaks (2500m) during the spring, the Michael Moroney-trained Brazilian Pulse is the classiest filly here by far and that’s exactly what we expect her to do on Saturday, outclass them.

First-up for the season the daughter of Captain Rio ran second to Do Ra Mi in the Group 2 Kewney Stakes (1400m) at Flemington on March 12.

Although yet to race at Rosehill or over the 1800m and the top weight with a hefty 58kg, Brazilian Pulse still looks the pick here with a good barrier five draw and if she runs in this instead of in the Ajax Stakes for which she is also accepted, should win and win well.

Rosehill Race 3 Tips – 2011 Keith F Nolan Classic Betting

  • Races.com.au Favourite: #1 Brazilian Pulse – Rated Special to Win – Bet now at Luxbet
  • Best Place / Exotic Tips: #7 Lady Lonhro, #6 Kim Heaven and #4 Fibrillation

Adding great value to the Keith F Nolan Classic Quinella and Exacta bets at Luxbet this year is the Races.com.au second pick, #7 Lady Lonhro.

Currently sitting at a quote of $17 through Luxbet, well-bred Lonhro filly Lady Lonhro is in top form having scored back-to-back wins at her two most recent starts.

Dropping 2.5kg in the weights from the 56.5kg she carried to victory over 1500m at Kembla Grange last start, Lady Lonhro may be having her first start outside of her home track but with a nice weight and without too stiff a competition should step up to the challenge.

Kim Heaven ($9 Luxbet) to run third, Bart Cumming’s lightly-raced Shamardal filly stepping back in class after running seventh in the Group 2 Surround Stakes last start also well suited to this distance, and for fourth Fibrillation is our tip.

Tim Martin’s Diatribe filly Fibrillation was not disgraced having run eighth beaten four lengths in the Group 1 Coolmore Flight Stakes (1600m) in the spring and is third-up for the season after two solid runs over 1400m and 1550m this prep.
