One of the most important races on the Victoria Derby Day card is up next at Flemington today as a field of 2010 Melbourne Cup hopefuls battle it out in the Group 3 The Lexus Stakes (2500m).
Due to jump as Flemington Race 2 at 11:50pm (AEDST), the 2010 The Lexus Stakes winner gains a Melbourne Cup ballot exemption and will sneak into the 24-horse Melbourne Cup field.

- Red Ruler

- Moudre
All are outside the top 24 on the Melbourne Cup order of entry, and The Lexus Stakes results will help determine the final configuration for the Melbourne Cup field.
