Champion mare Hot Danish added another Group victory to her already impressive record on Saturday when outclassing her rivals in the $175,000 Group 2 Premiere Stakes (1200m) at Rosehill.
Les Bridge’s dual Group 1 winner Hot Danish started as the raging $1.35 favourite in the 2010 Premiere Stakes and lived up to all expectations with a sensational first-up victory over the Anthony Cummings-trained Trader ($16) with Cardinal Virtue ($51) in third.
Punters that picked the quinella or trifecta on Saturday cleaned up as although there was little value in Hot Danish and her short quote, the two roughies that filled the placings provided plenty of value!
It was a disappointing result for the second favourite as Hinchinbrook ($7) who failed to perform finishing seventh.
Seven-year-old Nothin’ Leica Dane mare Hot Danish has now won 15 of her 26 career starts for an impressive $2,044,730 in prize money.
Bridge has Melbourne Spring Carnival plans for Hot Danish, but first Sydney’s star mare will start in the Group 2 The Shorts (1200m) at Randwick on October 2.
The next big race of the spring carnival is the Group 1 Manikato Stakes at Moonee Valley on Friday night and to ensure you get the best price on your favourites, sign up with our preferred online bookie [sportsbet] today!
