Murrumbidgee Turf Club’s meeting at Wagga Wagga today has been transferred to Thoroughbred Park in Canberra. Wagga Racecourse was rated a Heavy 10 on Tuesday 31 August, and with more heavy rain in the area the race meeting had to be moved the the synthetic Acton Track at Canberra. The other race meets today will be at Coffs Harbour and the synthetic all-weather track in Geelong.
Geelong and Coffs Harbour will both run 8 races today while Canberra will run 7 races. The first race to jump today will be at Geelong with the Chisholm Petroleum Maiden Plate over 1200m (Race 1) at 12:42 (AEST). Today’s racing will wrap up in the nation’s capital with Race 7 Kennard’s Hire Handicap 1600m at 17:25 (AEST) in Canberra.
