Crystal Lily has won the group 1 $3.5 million AAMI Golden Slipper Stakes, the richest 2 year old race in the world.
Trained by Mathew Ellerton and Simon Zahra and ridden by Brett Prebble, Crystal Lily finished strongly in the 1200m sprint to hold off Decision Time in second and More Strawberries in third.
Race favourite Military Rose did not have a good run and only managed to finish 11th.
