*UPDATE: The Peter Snowden-trained Kidnapped has been scratched from Saturday’s Rosehill Guineas due to an elevated temperature.
This Saturday the biggest race happening across the country is the $500, 000 Group 1 Rosehill Guineas (2000m) taking place at Sydney?s esteemed Rosehill Gardens racecourse.
The 2010 Darley Rosehill Guineas has attracted a small but impressive final field of 11 gallopers headlined by Bart Cumming?s impressive Australian Guineas winner Rock Classic.
The Fastnet Rock colt has drawn well with barrier five and will be ridden by champion jockey Michael Rodd as he seeks back-to-back Group 1 success.
Shoot Out is the other highly rated early favourite for Saturday, the John Wallace-trained son of High Chaparral looking to secure the coveted Randwick Guineas ? Rosehill Guineas double following his last start victory.
Due to be ridden by Stathi Katsidis, Shoot Out will start two wider on the outside of his biggest threat in barrier seven.
Warwick Farm trainer John Thompson has three of his top three-year-olds lining up in the Rosehill Guineas, all drawn well with Gathering, Run For Naara and Saint Encosta starting from barriers two, four and six respectively.
The John O?Shea-trained Zabrasive will enjoy the inside running from barrier one with Nash Rawiller aboard while other big names including David Haye?s Extra Zero and the Peter Snowden-trained Kidnapped have drawn the outside barriers of 10 and 11.

Also due to run at exciting Rosehill meeting are the $150, 000 Group 2 Pago Pago Stakes (1200m) featuring 12 promising two-year-olds including the Gai Waterhouse-trained Brightexpectations and Hinchinbrook; the $150, 000 Group 2 Magic Night Stakes (1200m) where Tony Vasil?s early pre-race favourite Psychologist has drawn ideally in barrier two; the $150, 000 Group 2 Ajax Stakes (1500m) where leading trainer David Payne will be represented by three of his top gallopers including Emperor Bonaparte; and the $125, 000 Group 3 Birthday Card Stakes (1200m) where Peter Snowden?s two impressive mares Beaded and Renaissance will face off.
