Chance Bye Wins Silver Slipper Stakes

Michael Tubman?s promising filly Chance Bye claimed a sensational victory in the $200, 000 Group 2 Silver Slipper Stakes (1100m) at Rosehill on Saturday keeping her unbeaten career intact.

The two-year-old daughter of Snitzel has won all three of her career starts and will next run in the prestigious $3.5million Golden Slipper Stakes on April 3 after her Silver Slipper win automatically qualified her for the world?s richest race for two-year-olds.

In the Silver Slipper on Saturday Chance Bye started as the clear favourite at $1.75 and lead from the start, holding the lead over the 1100m to easily beat home Ambers Waltz ($12) by 1 ? lengths with Zutara a fast finishing third three quarters of a length back.

Also held at Rosehill on the weekend was the Group 2 Hobartville Stakes won by Monton in a surprise upset and the Group 3 Millie Fox Stakes where Montana Flyer reigned supreme.
