Race favourite Trim has won the 1200m TCL Electronics Stakes down the straight at Flemington.
Masai Miss took the lead early followed by Cinecitta, Rue Maple and Hush Up however at the 300m mark, Trim pushed forward from third last position to run past the pack to finish half a length in front of runner-up Marquardt and Cinecetta.
The wind picked up for this race and although not as bad as Tuesday’s Melbourne Cup, it was still enough to affect the horses.
Ridden by jockey Kerrin McEvoy, this was Trim’s fourth start and is a definite potential for next year’s racing season.
